Sony Norde looked menacing during his 79 minutes on the pitch as Mumbai City FC played out a 0-0 draw against FC Goa in front of almost 19,000 fans at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda on Wednesday. The draw saw Mumbai close the gap on league leaders Delhi Dynamos FC to just one point. Norde looked threatening before being substituted and attempted two crosses and two shots, while also completing one successful take-on during his time on the pitch. The Haitian winger spoke to indiansuperleague.com shortly after the match. Here are the excerpts from the interview.Tough away game today, are you satisfied with the result?Yes, we came to win but one point is very important because we move ahead in the table. It’s not easy to play as Goa are a good team who attack well and defend well, so getting a point is very important for us.There were plenty of chances for both sides. What was missing for you as regards finishing?Today we got very good chances with Sunil and Diego, but Goa also had a good chance right at the end. But this is football and sometimes it can happen. What is important is that we don’t lose. We have three games at home and we need six points to qualify. You are presently second in the table, do you think the front line combinations are going to get better and we will see more goals from Mumbai?Yeah, we have a few games at home so we have an advantage. It’s football and anything can happen but I’m sure we will get goals in our home games. We will make sure we get the six points we need. How are you feeling after coming back from injury?I’m feeling good. Playing almost 80 minutes, it’s not easy but I’m feeling good.
