The Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati acts as the home ground of the Indian Super League’s NorthEast United FC. Used mainly for football, it has also had its fair share of athletic events.

It was one of the six host venues for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup held in India.
