Rowllin Borges completed 61 passes – the second highest in the match – during NorthEast United FC’s 2-1 loss at the hands of FC Goa at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda on Friday evening. The Highlanders took the lead in the 50th minute through Seityasen Singh but goals from Robin Singh in 62nd minute and Romeo Fernandes late in injury time helped Goa secure their first home win of Hero Indian Super League 2016, condemning NorthEast to their fourth successive loss. Borges, who ended the game with a 75% passing accuracy and completed two interceptions as well as four successful tackles, spoke to indiansuperleague.com after the final whistle. Here are the excerpts from the interview.Tough result today, what are your thoughts on the match?I think we are missing too many chances that is why we are in this position right now. We need to put our scoring boots on to improve our position in the league table. You came very close to scoring in the second half. Do you think the result could have been a bit different?Yeah, as I said earlier we need to put our scoring boots on to climb up the table. I think our passing is good but we have to work very hard to improve on our finishing.
