Chennaiyin FC and NorthEast United FC commence Round 13 of ISL Fantasy 2016 when they go head-to-head at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on Saturday. Hero Indian Super League 2016 has seen the back of the net bulge on fewer occasions than it did last season with goalkeepers having a huge say in the outcome of matches. Their importance in your ISL fantasy team is just as pivotal as their on-field presence. Here we take a look at some of the best glove-men in ISL fantasy this season.Subrata Paul (NorthEast United FC)While NorthEast United FC’s form this season has been inconsistent, their goalkeeper, India’s Spiderman, Subrata Paul has showcased some sublime glovework for the Highlanders this year. Having made 39 saves (joint-highest with Edel Bete), the India international has at times single-handedly kept NorthEast in the hunt for a semis spot. With no lack of experience as well as a good sense of judgement while dealing with danger in the penalty area, Paul has been one of the key performers for NorthEast having notched up four clean sheets so far. It is no surprise that he is leading the goalkeeping charts with 47 fantasy points, making him a solid buy at Rs 5.8 crore.Toni Doblas (Delhi Dynamos FC)Delhi Dynamos FC goalkeeper Toni Doblas has been outstanding between the sticks for his team. The fact that he has only one clean sheet is mainly down to the Lions’ erratic backline in front of him. He has made 16 saves for the Dynamos this year and is also an able distributor of the ball as his one assist this season goes to show. A commanding presence in the box, he is quick, agile and has made some stunning saves in Hero ISL 2016. With 28 fantasy points to his credit already and is likely to play twice in the upcoming round of games making him a smart acquisition at Rs 5.4 crore.Debjit Majumder (Atlético de Kolkata)Debjit Majumder has been in sensational form for the 2014 winners this season. He has been involved in every minute of ATK’s campaign thus far and has made some jaw-dropping saves, 28 in all. He has two clean sheets to his credit and has also saved a penalty to deny Delhi Dynamos FC’s marquee man Florent Malouda. The 28-year-old’s shot-stopping prowess offers Kolkata’s defence a formidable presence between the sticks. With 38 points, he is third on the leaderboard for goalkeepers, making him a steal at only Rs 5.4 crore.Karanjit Singh (Chennaiyin FC)Chennaiyin FC’s goalkeeper Karanjit Singh has shown fine form for the Super Machans this season. Although his team is reeling at the wrong end of the table, the shot-stopper has been up to scratch. In his seven matches so far, he has kept four clean sheets, which is the joint highest with Subrata Paul. At times, he has single-handedly kept his team alive through some splendid saves. A commanding presence while dealing with balls in the penalty area, he is a goalkeeper who oozes confidence and knows what he is doing. Currently, with 37 fantasy points, he is fourth on the leaderboard for goalkeepers. At Rs 5.4 crore, he is more than a decent acquisition for any fantasy team.
