FC Pune City slipped to sixth in the 2016 Hero ISL standings following a 2-0 defeat by defending champions Chennaiyin FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on Tuesday evening. Jeje Lalpekhlua and Davide Succi scored in the Super Machans’ climb up the table to fifth with 13 points from 10 games. 28-year-old Pune City defender Augustine Fernandes spoke to indiansuperleague.com after the match and shared his thoughts on his team’s defeat. Here are the excerpts from the interview.2-0 on the night. Do you think it was a fair result?I think it was a match of few opportunities. If you see both teams got few opportunities and unfortunately we didn’t score and Chennai scored. We just have to forget this game and look forward to the other four games. You go back now and play an in-form Delhi Dynamos FC side in two days. What do you have to say about that?I think we must just forget the negatives and concentrate on the positives from this game and hope we get a good result in the next game. This result means you have slipped from fifth to sixth in the table. Do you think you can still reach the semis?I think it is possible, if you see the difference from bottom to the top, there aren’t many points separating the teams. If we win the next game we will be right in the mix.
