Augustine Fernandes will be hoping for his fifth start of Hero Indian Super League 2016 when FC Pune City host Delhi Dynamos FC at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium in Balewadi on Friday. Augustine has come into his own for the Stallions of late having become a permanent fixture in Pune’s backline in their previous few games. The 28-year-old defender has a passing accuracy of 85% and has completed three blocks, four interceptions, six successful tackles and 22 clearances so far. Augustine spoke exclusively to indiansuperleague.com ahead of his side’s clash with table-toppers Delhi on Friday. Here are the excerpts from the interview. You are going to play Delhi Dynamos and they are top of the table, so how do you think the game is going to be?It will be a tough game as in the ISL every team is strong. There is no easy team or easy game. So, we are looking forward to tomorrow’s game and hope we can win. What is your strategy for tomorrow’s game?I think it will be simple as we will try to win the game and whatever chances we get we will try to score goals and we will try to defend as much as we can and get the three points for the team.Do you think Pune are still in with a chance for the semis?I think yes we still have got a chance as there is not much difference in points between the top team and the lower team. If we win tomorrow, we become fourth. We still have got a chance and we are taking one game at a time. How are players like Mohamed Sissoko and Jonatan Lucca helping you cope with the pressure? They have a lot of experience playing in big leagues and they are helping us and we are getting a lot of tips from them.
