After two seasons with Delhi Dynamos, centre-back Anas Edathodika packed his bags and moved on to new Hero Indian Super League (ISL) entrants, Jamshedpur FC. Anas was the first pick in the recently concluded Hero ISL Player Draft – a testament to his immense quality. In those two seasons with the capital outfit, Anas grew as a player under the tutelage of two of the finest fullbacks in football history – Gianluca Zambrotta and Roberto Carlos. Taking to his Instagram, Anas wrote an emotional farewell letter to the Delhi Dynamos, thanking the coaches, support staff, and also, his former Hero I League team, Mohun Bagan. What also stood out though, is Anas’ declaration of intent to play for his hometown team, Kerala Blasters. The 30-year-old defender was born in Kondotty, Malappuram, but hasn’t had the opportunity yet to play for the Sachin Tendulkar co-owned outfit. Anas lauded the Kerala fans and called playing in front of the Manjappada ‘’something special.’’Anas concluded by promising to give his best for his new team, Jamshedpur FC. Whether the Indian international swaps colours and dons the famous Kerala Blasters yellow in the future remains to be seen but the prospect remains an exciting one.Anas’ full post on Instagram:“First of all, I would like to thank Delhi Dynamos FC for giving me an opportunity to be part of the family. Happy to be part of one of the most historic clubs in India, Mohun Bagan AC.To all my people in Kerala. Many times, I wished I could play for my home team.
