Delhi Dynamos FC did their semis credentials a world of good when they beat FC Goa 5-1 in their last match on Sunday. With 20 points from 12 games, Gianluca Zambrotta’s men are red-hot favourites to advance to the last-four and they now play NorthEast United FC at Guwahati’s Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium on Wednesday, hoping they can continue their fine form this season. The Lions might even qualify before they take the field tomorrow if Atlético de Kolkata can manage one point from their home tie against Kerala Blasters FC on Tuesday. Delhi midfielder Milan Singh, who has scored two very important goals for the Lions this season, spoke to indiansuperleague.com ahead of the game and shared his thoughts. Here are the excerpts from the interview.Do you think it enough for your team to reach the semis?I think a draw for us is enough but a win is very important for us as a team. How would you say the league is going for you personally? It’s going fantastic and I just have to keep up the hard work for the league, team and my career. How influential has Florent Malouda been for the team this season?I think Malouda is playing a very big role in midfield and the other players playing alongside him are also really good. He has been motivating us, which is fantastic, and his motivation means a lot to the team. How is it playing under Zambrotta?I think our coach is really experienced and he knows football very well, especially how the back-line works. The team is defending well as well as scoring a lot of goals. Under him it has been a very nice learning experience for me.What has been the best moment of the league so far for you? When I scored against Kolkata and we drew against them… That has been my best moment in the league. And you will be playing NorthEast United FC tomorrow and you come from these parts. What’s your take on that? We’re going to roar again and take the three points.(Please note that following Atlético de Kolkata’s 1-1 draw at home against Kerala Blasters FC on Tuesday, Delhi Dynamos FC also qualify for the semi-finals. Mumbai City FC, ATK and Delhi are the three teams to have qualified as of now. FC Pune City and defending Chennaiyin FC are out of contention, leaving Kerala Blasters FC and NorthEast United FC in a tussle for the remaining spot in the semis.)
